This session looks closely at the UU Principles as pillars with special attention to the relationship of the fir?st and? seven?th? Prin?ci?????p?les to the others. Participants will als?o have an opportunity to examine the often frustrati?ng experience of describing Unitarian-Universalism to friends of other faith traditions

Topic: Understanding The History and Roots of Unitarian-Universalism
The purpose of this session is to broaden our awareness of UU history and provide some very practical experience that will make them increasingly effective when answering questions about our faith.

Topic: Are We A Community of All Souls?
What are our expectations or hopes for our UU community? Can significant community really be created in a place where people can disagree about almost anything?  Participants will be asked to imagine talking with a newcomer during a “coffee hour chat” and answering basic questions about the UU faith.
Session 5

Topic: What’s The Deal With The Flaming Chalice?
We light the chalice at the beginning of each service and we extinguish it at the end. In this session we will look at what happens in between?
